Research Grants for Beginners
The purpose of the IPPS Eastern Region (IPPS-ER) Research Grants Program is to support undergraduate horticulture students in their basic research projects in the areas of nursery production and/or plant propagation. The Research Grants Committee announces, accepts and reviews Research Grant applications. One grant of $2,000 is awarded annually. Click here to see a video of a past recipient.
The Committee is made up of volunteers with one of the current Directors of the IPPS-ER Foundation serving as Chair. Watch this video of Research Committee Chair Bob Geneve describing the Program. The deadline for online applications is February 1, with decisions made in March-April. The announcement about the start of the application is made in the IPPS-Eastern Region newsletter in December and an email message sent to our notification list.
