FUNDING FOR WORKERS & STUDENTS

FUNDING FOR WORKERS & STUDENTS

The International Plant Propagators’ Society-Eastern Region Foundation (IPPS-ERF) is proud to offer funds to support internship experiences related to nursery production, plant propagation, or plant collections for students or nursery and gardens employees with 5 years or less experience. Grants are for up to $1,000 to support travel, housing, wages, or educational expenses (such as a conference or specific training) to enhance their overall internship experience. The successful candidate(s) will receive the grant in the form of a reimbursement for expenses incurred during the internship experience. Receipts are required.

The deadline for submitting a proposal is March 1, 2022.

Proposals should include your resume, the name of a contact person from the company, garden or institution where the candidate will work, the purpose for the funding request and budget.

You can apply online here.

Successful applicants will be notified by March 31. Successful candidates are encouraged to present their experience at an annual IPPS-Eastern Region Conference, are required to provide a one-page report on their experience for the IPPS-ER Newsletter and Proceedings, check in with an IPPS mentor during the internship and make a short video about the experience.

For further information contact Ron Amos, Internship Program Chair or Peggy Walsh Craig, Executive Secretary.
