Exciting Program Highlights for the IPPS Eastern Region Annual Conference
Get ready for an enriching experience at the IPPS Eastern Region Annual Conference, happening in Columbus, Ohio, from September 24-27, 2024! Our program is packed with engaging sessions and tours that cater to all plant propagation enthusiasts.
Wednesday will kick off with a keynote address by Marie Chieppo on sustainable practices in the nursery industry. Highlights of the IPPS International Tour and cutting-edge research on woody plant propagation will also be featured. Don’t miss the inspiring Student Poster Session and the IPPS Eastern Region Awards presentation.
Thursday includes a focus on sustainable substitutes for sphagnum peat moss and advanced techniques in bayberry micropropagation. The day will also showcase Rapid Fire Presentations, where experts share quick, impactful insights on various propagation topics. Plus, an overview of the Box Tree Moth will address current challenges in pest management.
Friday wraps up with a diverse range of topics, including hydrangea and native clematis propagation, sand bed techniques, and native plant propagation methods. The day will also feature a preview of the 2025 conference and an optional tour of Deborah Hardwick’s renowned private garden.
