Internships Funding for Workers and Students – July 1 deadline
The International Plant Propagators’ Society-Eastern Region Foundation (IPPS-ERF) is pleased to offer funds to support internship experiences related to nursery production, plant propagation, or plant collections for students or nursery and gardens employees with 5 years or less experience. Grants are for up to $1,000 to support travel, housing, wages, or educational expenses (such as a conference or specific training) to enhance their overall internship experience. The successful candidate(s) will receive the grant in the form of a reimbursement for expenses incurred during the internship experience. Receipts are required. The deadline for submitting a proposal is July 1, 2023.
Proposals should include your resume, the name of a contact person from the company, garden or institution where the candidate will work, the purpose for the funding request and budget. You can apply online here.
Successful applicants will be notified by August 15.
Recipients will be invited to share their experience at the annual IPPS-Eastern Region Conference in Hamilton, Ontario Canada. Also, recipients are required to provide a one-page report on their experience for the IPPS-ER Newsletter and Proceedings, check in with an IPPS mentor during the internship and make a short video about the experience.
